At FREILUFT, effect does not come from appliances, but from how the outdoor kitchen is anchored in the design of the outside space. A FREILUFT Kitchen gives the place calm and atmosphere. Functions and appliances belong to it, but they are not the starting point.
The PureAlu Cabinetry System is the basis of our kitchens and [DE: Feuerstellen]. With it, we realise made-to-measure executions, including special solutions, tuned to place, use and equipment. We define colour and surface so they fit the surroundings and remain coherent over time.
Seamless execution and consistently resolved details ensure surfaces stay clean and transitions remain stable, even as rain, sun and frost alternate.

The FREILUFT Kitchen works very well with terrace roofs from Solarlux and Renson – for an outdoor experience in any weather.
While a louvred roof provides a pleasant climate on hot days, a glass roof from Solarlux keeps the open view to the sky. At the same time, the sheltered area retains warmth pleasantly in spring and autumn, so you can use your outdoor kitchen for longer.
You also remain free when it comes to equipment. High-quality grill elements, an outdoor grill-and-fire feature, integrated cooling, counter solutions or special engineering can be integrated into the planning – aligned with place, use and the overall image.

How it all began

Made-to-measure outdoor kitchens
It all began in Oliver Neugebauer’s workshop. As a master stove builder, he had the idea to build an outdoor kitchen where fire is not decoration, but the centre. A place where you cook, stand together and stay.
The decisive question was the material. Steel and stainless steel were the obvious options, but not what Oliver was looking for. The cue came from a professor: marine-grade aluminium. Weather resistant, dimensionally stable, made for applications where endurance is a requirement. In 2015, the first FREILUFT Kitchen was created. In 2017, it received the German Design Award.
Since then, together with engineers and specialists in surface technology, we have continued to refine what makes FREILUFT. Materials, build method and details have been improved consistently. From the kitchen, further core pieces followed: FREILUFT Fire and the FREILUFT Island, conceived for cooking and for being together.
And we learned what really counts: every kitchen must fit the place. The space, the style, the lives of the people who use it. That is why every manufactory piece receives its own plaque with a manufactory number, as proof of origin and responsibility.
Today, FREILUFT stands for kitchens and [DE: Feuerstellen] that order the outside space and give it a clear centre. Precisely produced, from real material, for enjoyment and the art of hosting outdoors.
