When your planning should begin

If you would like to use your new FREILUFT Kitchen next spring, your project does not begin in spring.

Between your first idea and the first evening outdoors lie several steps.

The first three steps take four to six weeks in total

From first enquiry to technical approval

1 — Clarifying your requirements, around 1 to 2 weeks. We look at your setting and establish together how you want to use it and what overall effect should emerge.

2 — Planning your kitchen, around 2 to 3 weeks. Form, equipment, appliances and materials are developed together with you. This usually produces several planning stages, which we refine step by step until the design genuinely fits.

3 — Technical approval, around 1 week. Connections and dimensions are fixed. With the approved technical drawing, work on the terrace, foundation or services can also be prepared.

The longest stage takes place in the Manufaktur

Production, delivery and installation

4 — Producing your kitchen, usually 10 to 12 weeks. Cabinet body, surface, equipment and worktop are made to order for your project. Every kitchen receives its own manufactory number, which records origin and quality control.

5 — Delivery and installation, usually 1 to 2 working days. Your kitchen is brought to its intended place and finally aligned. For everything to come together there, the on-site requirements should be settled early — electricity, water, waste water, gas where applicable, and a suitable base.

Technical approval is your starting signal

What you can prepare in parallel

As soon as the approved drawing is in place, dimensions and connection points are fixed. From that moment, work can run that otherwise becomes the bottleneck at the end: foundation or substructure, electrical and water connections, gas where applicable, and the surfacing around the installation site.

Beginning this work only after delivery easily costs several weeks — however punctually the kitchen is finished.

Four to five months, not four to five weeks

Count backwards from the first evening

Taken together, around four to five months lie between the first conversation and the finished kitchen. Most enquiries reach us in spring, when the first warm week shows what the outdoor space is missing. At that point the first usable evening already falls in late summer.

Beginning in autumn or winter means the calmer planning phase and the whole summer. A visit to an Excellence Partner is also easier to arrange outside the season.
